The date of the planning committee meeting to consider the application for 2 Salcombe Road has been brought forward. This means that comments/objections must be received by tomorrow 28th February.
Belway Homes have now submitted a planning application for 2 Salcombe Road opposite Eagle Mansions. The reference is 2013/0298 and you can search for it online at http://apps.hackney.gov.uk/servapps/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/generalsearch.aspx. Comments are open until 18th March and can be submitted online.
Taylor Wimpey are proposing to redevelop the sites over the Western Curve railway tunnels on either side of Kingsland High Street, currently behind blue hoardings. On the west side (the “northern site”) they are proposing an eight-storey building, and on the east side a six-storey terrace; both are considerably taller than the surrounding properties. The development will include shops and housing, including some affordable housing.
Hackney Council’s consultation process was due to have finished on the 20th December, but the deadline for comments has now been extended to 6th February. You can view the plans here.
